Early Childhood Program
About our Program
Mulvane Public Schools offers a Pre-K program for children ages 3–5 who are not yet Kindergarten eligible. Our program is designed to support early childhood development through play-based learning, structured routines, social interaction, and kindergarten readiness experiences.
Our program is staffed by 6 Early Childhood educators and serves a diverse group of learners, including students with disabilities, at-risk learners, and peer models. Classrooms are intentionally designed as a blended and inclusive environment, allowing students of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds to learn together with appropriate supports and services provided within the classroom setting.
We believe early learning experiences should promote independence, communication, social growth, and school readiness while meeting students where they are developmentally.
2026-2027 Child Find Clinics
Mulvane Public Schools hosts Child Find clinics throughout the school year to help identify and prepare students who may need early learning supports, special education services, qualify as at-risk, or serve as peer models for the current or following school year.
Child Find is a screening process for children ages 3–5 and is also part of the consideration process for our district Pre-K program. Holding clinics throughout the year allows our team to better plan for student needs, build balanced classrooms, and prepare supports and services ahead of the upcoming school year.
