What the Finance Department does:

The USD 263 Finance Department oversees all financial aspects of the school district.  Budgeting, financial planning, payroll & benefits, purchasing, and accounts payable are just a few of the services provided by our department.  Although our jobs don’t require daily contact with students, we continually strive to make the business side of the district operate as efficiently and fiscally responsible as possible. I cannot thank my colleagues at Central Office and the buildings enough for their hard work and dedication. You truly are amazing and an integral part of making Mulvane School District a great place to work.

A little about me

I graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 1986.  Upon graduation, I moved to Wichita to work at Boeing as a Material Cost Analyst. Once my husband and I started our family, I became a stay at home mom.  During that time, I took accounting courses at Wichita State University and studied for and successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant Exam.  In 1999 when it was time for me to transition back to the workforce, I accepted the Payroll/Benefits Clerk position at Mulvane School District and 20 years later I am still here.  I have been truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful district.

My husband, David, is retired from Boeing and keeps busy with my “honey-do” list.  Dave and I have two adult children who both graduated from the Mulvane School District. Our son, Ethan, works at Heartspring in Wichita and is currently working on his Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis.  He is married to Kelsie who is a Registered Nurse at Wesley Hospital.  Our daughter Hannah graduated from Newman University and is also a Registered Nurse at Wesley Hospital.
