Mrs. Trista Cuthbertson, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services
I am so proud to be a part of the Mulvane School District and community. During my time here, I have served as a 3rd grade teacher, Elementary Principal, and now, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
I grew up in Canton, Kansas, as the youngest of three daughters. As long as I can remember I wanted to be a teacher, so it was only natural that upon completing high school I attended Emporia State University in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. My first job was serving as a third-grade teacher at Mulvane Grade School. While in that position I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, both from Wichita State University. After nine years in the classroom, I began my administrative career with the El Dorado School District as an elementary assistant principal, early childhood and family engagement coordinator. In 2018, I returned to the Mulvane Grade School, this time as their building principal. While serving in this role, I earned my Educational Administration District Level Licensure.
My husband and I have been married for 16 years. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and currently works for Textron Aviation. We have two children. Our son is a 7th grader at MMS and our daughter is a 4th grader at MGS. They keep us extremely busy, running to and from practices, games, and events. I enjoy reading, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and of course, spending time with family and friends.
