Welcome
I am the Gifted Facilitator for the Mulvane School District! I love the opportunity to be in all 4 of the district buildings! I enjoy interacting with the different grade levels and working with our outstanding educators and administration.
I began teaching just after graduating from KU in the Fall of 1990! My first job was teaching 8th grade Science in Rose Hill. I have since taught a variety of grade levels in Rose Hill, Haysville, and now Mulvane. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to live in Oregon for a few years where I taught preschool and second grade for a private institution. My work with Gifted students has been incredibly rewarding!
I grew up in Derby and graduated from DSH!
I earned my Bachelor's Degree at the University of Kansas, a Master's Degree in Teaching from Friends University, and a Master's Degree in Teaching Gifted from Emporia State University.
I have 2 adult children, a son and a daughter. Both live locally so I'm blessed to see them often. My son is married to a wonderful woman I am proud to call my daughter!
I have a sister and she is the office manager at the DRC!
If you would like to talk with me it is best to email, share your phone number, and let me know you would like a call. Because of the traveling I do, it is very difficult to get in touch with me through an initial phone call. I do have my answering system set up for the MHS number and will return your call once I have had the opportunity to hear your message! I check my email throughout the day and promise to respond within 24 hours.
If you would like to call and leave a message the number is (316) 777-1183x4401.'
