National Junior Honor Society
All MMS seventh and eighth grade students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.75 and are considered to be a student in good standing are invited to apply to join National Junior Honor Society. Qualifications for membership are based on scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship, the five pillars of NJHS. The application process will begin the end of August. This process includes student completion of a candidate form, a student essay, and teacher evaluations. Both the candidate form and student essay are scored by members of the NJHS faculty council. These scores along with each applicant’s teacher evaluations determine which students will be accepted as members of our NJHS chapter.
NJHS Induction Ceremony will be held Thursday, October 24, 6:30pm, at MMS main gym.
