Parents as Teachers
Parents As Teachers builds strong communities, thriving families and children that are healthy, safe and ready to learn by matching parents and caregivers with trained professionals who make regular personal home visits during a child’s earliest years in life, from prenatal through kindergarten.

Parents As Teachers Programs
- Home Visits
- If you are pregnant or parenting a child who is under 5 years of age, you are eligible for home visits. During a home visit one of our certified parent educators will come to your home, or you may come to our facility if you prefer. The parent educator can conduct various developmental screenings, as well as hearing and vision screenings. Various developmental activities that you can make at home will also be provided by your parent educator. A parent educator will typically visit your home once a month for about an hour at each visit. If the parent educator feels that your child may have some developmental delays, they will be able to direct you to a program to help assess your child's possible delays. Home visits are a great way to learn different activities to help your child put their sensory abilities to work. Also, receiving home visits and being enrolled in our program is completely FREE.
- If you are interested in gaining more information about home visits you are welcome to call our office at 316-554-0110, or click the button below. We will then contact you to give you more information, and let you know the next steps to receiving visits!
PARENTS AS TEACHERS Online Enrollment
- Group Connections
- Group connections are intentionally planned events that provide opportunities to share information about parenting issues and child development with a group of families. Children ages birth to five will have fun exploring the variety of age appropriate activities with a parent or grandparent. Group connections also provide an opportunity to meet other families enrolled in the program.
