Welcome to Mrs. Cotton's Classroom
A Little About Me….
I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education at Southwestern College, I continued at Southwestern to get my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. I am now attending Baker University to get my Doctorate in Educational Leadership. This is my sixth-year teaching and first year at Munson. I have taught grades Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fourth Grade. I have a husband and two boys.
A Little About Our Classroom…
ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL: School starts at 7:50 and ends at 3:10 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday. On Wednesdays school starts at 8:50 and ends at 3:10. When arriving please bring students to the gym and sit at the assigned space of your teacher. We will dismiss out the front doors by the office. Breakfast is 7:20-7:45.
IN THE CLASSROOM: We enjoy learning the letter names, and sounds, numbers, sight words, social emotional skills, classroom behavior, and so much more! Hands on tasks are our favorite thing to do!
OUR CURRICULUM: HMH Reading, Writing, and Phonics, GoMath, McGraw Hill Social Studies and Science
SPECIALS: Monday & Tuesday: Music with Mrs. Robbearts, & PE with Mrs. Williams, please wear tennis shoes on these days. Thursday & Friday: Library with Mrs. Warren, & Art with Mrs. Roths, Fridays are check out days so please have your books ready to turn in. Wednesdays will alternate specials.
BIRTHDAY TREATS: Each child may bring in special treats on their birthday. Just let me know ahead of time the day you want to celebrate. I try to have birthday treats at the end of the day.
