Welcome to Miss Mangas' 8th Grade History Class!
My name is Maggie Mangas, and I grew up in Onaga, KS, a small town in the Northeast part of the state. After graduating high school I attended Kansas State University where I majored in Secondary Education. This will be my 9th year teaching 8th grade history at Mulvane Middle School. I am happy to call Mulvane "home" these days, and I am so excited to get the school year started!
2023-24 School Year
This year, many of assignments and resources will be posted in my online Google Classroom. As a guardian, you should have received an invite at the beginning of the school year to receive notifications from my Classroom. If you didn't receive an invite and would like one, please let me know and I will make sure to send you one! As a team, we also has lesson plans updated each week posted on our "Week At a Glance" on the district website. Week at a Glance includes all assignments, due dates, as well as notice of upcoming quizzes and tests.
**Notice to Parents**
As you check your student's grades you may see an assignment in Skyward as missing if there is a (*) beside it. This means that the assignment has not been graded yet or it has not yet been posted in the gradebook. This does not effect your student's grade. If there is a "0" beside it, the assignment has been graded and was either not completed or no credit was earned. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me.
